About Me

My name is Grant Little.

I’ve been working in the IT industry for over 20 years, primarily in Software Development and Architecture and specifically related to Java Applications.

I have a keen interest in continual improvement both in my self and the applications and environments I work in.

Over the years I have become more of a Technical Architect and less of the Software Development, although I do like to keep my hands in the dirt so it’s easier to understand the real problems developers face as we strive to achieve our objectives.

I generally work more on the backend services than the frontend websites and mobile development. This is primarily because I like the challenge of building and maintaining large complex systems and importantly ensuring they are highly available, resilient and performant.

For most of my career I have been working in the financial industry and typically within the realms of banking and the stock markets.

On a more personal side I’m a keen windsurfer and amateur photographer. If you want to check out my photography/videography website then you can find it at https://grantlittle.photo
